Job Description


SAIC is seeking a Field Service Engineer/Engineering Technician III in Crane, IN to support air defense. Join SAIC where we are 23,000 strong worldwide. We are a premier technology integrator in the technical, engineering, intelligence, and enterprise information technology markets.


As an essential member of the team, you will provide systems support to Ground Based Air Defense (GBAD) and Counter Unmanned Aerial Systems (CUAS) and capabilities that will be fielded and sustained OCONUS.


Field Service Engineers will install, test, integrate, troubleshoot, operate and maintain Ground Based Air Defense (GBAD) and Counter Unmanned Aerial Systems (CUAS). This position is located in Crane, IN. Select candidate must be willing to travel and deploy OCONUS as needed, up to 50%.  



  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Must have 3 years experience with Marine Corps or Army Air Defense Systems (Stinger, Avenger, LPWS)
  • Must have 2 years experience with Command and Control Systems (FAADC2, JRE)
  • Experience with MS Window OS, Windows Server, Linux and CISCO routers
  • Must have obtained and be able to maintain an Active DoD Secret security clearance
  • Must have a US Passport with 6 months validity
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs. (using proper technique or equipment)
  • Must be able to climb platforms
  • Must meet DoD Height/Weight standards.
  • Must satisfactorily complete CONUS pre-deployment training and qualification requirements, including medical and dental requirements prior to deployment.
  • Must be available for a flexible work schedule, including extended or weekend hours, sometimes on short notice, to include holidays as needed
