JOB DESCRIPTION: We have an immediate opening for a Test Engineer to support a software systems engineering effort focused on software and associated product development. Candidates will be expected to test more than one application at the same time in order to meet overlapping development schedules. Candidates should be comfortable sharing and managing test responsibilities with software developers as needed to meet deadlines.
Shall be proficient in the development and implementation of test strategies, plans, traceability matrices, procedures, and reports.
Shall have experience with automated test methods and automated test tools.
Shall have a minimum of three (3) years of requirements analysis experience and in particular must be fully trained or have experience in the testing of systems at the component, integration, system, and end-to-end levels.
Shall have experience in writing test cases and writing discrepancy reports.
Shall have experience in basic UNIX, DOS, and Windows commands and basic understanding of capturing snapshots.
TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Candidates must have at least 5 years experience as a TE and a Bachelor’s degree in Math, Science, Engineering, Statistics, Engineering Management, or related discipline.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. Four (4) years of additional TE experience may be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree.
Master’s degree can be substituted for two (2) years experience
TS/SCI w/ polygraph
**We cannot accept CCA candidates for these positions, and polygraphs must have been completed within the last seven years.
Desired technical skills include experience with:
- Writing test cases
- Testing to include data verification (e.g., with PGAdmin)
- Testing in an Agile development environment
