SAIC is seeking a Quality Engineer/Quality Assurance Engineer in Crane, IN to support the US Navy.

 
JOB DESCRIPTION:

As a Quality Assurance Engineer you will serve as lead in the Strategic Systems Guidance, Navigation, & Control Division as tasking point of contact for all quality related matters. We’re looking for someone who wants to be on a winning team demonstrates a desire to help others achieve their best. You’ll be a team player and someone who values cross-functional collaboration and has a willingness to assist other departments to develop solutions and metrics.

 
JOB DUTIES:
  • Supports missions by efficiently bridging the quality gaps between program needs and procedures improving consistency and compliance
  • Participates in and prepares the Division and Branches for Internal/External audits and inspections conducted by Crane or Program/Customer entities
  • Assists Program Quality representatives in implementing quality requirements and considerations; ensuring proper control and constraints for execution of SSP, NAVSEA and NAVSUP tasking
  • Supports a variety of special tests and inspections related to Strategic Systems Guidance, Navigation, & Control Division tasking as required
  • Collects and reports information concerning quality assurance tasking from Branches  
  • Compiles and presents quarterly Quality Assurance report on SSP, NAVSEA and NAVSUP tasking  
  • Review problem reports and recommend approval or disapproval to Crane and Program Representative.
  • Identifies and documents unsatisfactory trends contributing to non-conformance and discrepant items
  • Analyzes data in order to discover areas for opportunity and growth
  • Generates and presents progress reports 
  • Reviews processes ensuring alignment with current trends
  • Reviews Division documentation ensuring compliance with applicable standards and practices 

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must have obtained a Bachelors and nine (9) years or more Quality/Engineering experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more relevant experience; PhD or JD and four (4) years or more relevant experience 
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain an active DoD Secret security clearance in order to be eligible for this position   

  • Ability to analyze data; create and review documents/processes (required)
  • Excellent communication skills (required)
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and have the ability to meet the Security Clearance requirements in order to be considered for the position
