Description
SAIC is looking for a motivated IT professional to serve as a Middleware Administrator. The primary responsibility is to provide Unix/Linux Systems Administration and Application Administration support for server systems that host critical applications and services. Daily work will include but not be limited to: application administration, operating system maintenance, application and server troubleshooting, automating tasks, and working in a team to resolve issues in a ticket queue system.
It will be critical for the successful candidate to demonstrate superior customer service skills and develop close working relationships with team members, customer group, and other teams in the IT organization

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or related field and 5 years or more years of professional experience or 9 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree; OR Master's degree and 3 years or more of professional experience.
Experience working in a large, distributed environment providing Unix/Linux Server System Administration
Candidates background will include demonstrated experience with IT customer service, troubleshooting technical issues, and managing inventories for IT product lifecycles.
Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q with Sigma 15 clearance.
Work hour flexibility to assist team in core SLA hour coverage.
Desired qualifications:
Experience working with WebLogic and ColdFusion
Experience creating and modifying automated scripts using various scripting languages, such as Python, Perl, and Bash.
Familiarity with automated administration tools such as Satellite, Ansible, Puppet, etc.
Familiarity with the application and web within Unix/Linux platforms.
Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
Demonstrated experience in effectively prioritizing and executing tasks in a constantly changing environment.
Planning and performing software upgrades for various operating systems and tools.
Experience using ITSM ticketing system.
Experience working with vulnerability scanning results to mitigate or remediate findings.
