The Communications Analyst will be a member of the Program Office Operations (OPs) Team and will be expected to learn general roles of other team-members in addition to their main function; to draft documentation for leadership, requiring extensive MS Word, Outlook and Power Point expertise. Specific types of documentation may include correspondence, memorandums, reports and briefing slides. The Analyst will assist in organizing, formatting, typing, proofreading and editing briefings, reports and manuals. The selected candidate will maintain actions and follows up on due outs for various types of Integrated Product Teams/Working IPTs and other programmatic meetings.
In addition, the Communications Analyst will design and develop multimedia applications, systems, and products involving computer graphics and interactive computing using a variety of new media software applications, techniques and tools. The ideal candidate will have a complete understanding and wide application of principles, concepts, practices, and standards. Full knowledge of industry practices.
May be asked to assist with daily assignment of "Taskers and Suspenses"; may be asked to assist with weekly Staff Note compilation and review of meeting Read Aheads as well as other Operations Team activities.
Bachelors and six (6) years or more of related experience; Masters and four (4) years or more experience; PhD and 0 years related experience.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
1. STRONG background in communications; able to write briefings, executive summaries, information papers (with technical assistance from SMEs). Able to work with graphics and manipulate data into charts.
2. Previous history/background on a government contract or with Army customer would be preferred as this helps with familiarity with document format and special requirements.
3. Ability to multi-task and work in an extremely stressful environment. Ability to work independently and follow through on assignments with little supervision.
4. Strong verbal communication skills; must be able to present in front of customer and represent the Operations Team.
