Job Description


SAIC currently has a job opening for a Hardware Integration Technical Specialist IV in Hanahan, SC. 

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: The Hardware Integration Technical Specialist IV will safely assist and support a System of Systems integration of government furnished equipment. Selected candidate will receive explicit direction from their supervisor, and will be expected to utilize their existing technical knowledge and experience to correctly install these components and conduct required System of Systems operational verification/validation. When required, the candidate will support the Logistics Lead in the performance of all logistics tasks. All performed work will be subject to continuous in-process and final QA/QC.


High School Diploma and a minimum of four years of relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  


  • Ability to perform all duties while scrupulously adhering to all prescribed safety protocols
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, handbooks, sketches, block diagrams, schematics, and blueprint drawings
  • Ability to effectively use Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, and Outlook)
  • Ability to use hand tools (common, RJ-11, RJ-45, pin crimpers, wire strippers, pin extractors, punch down tools, etc.) and use power tools and electronic test equipment (multi-meters and spectrum analyzers).
  • Ability to install mounts, brackets, cables, connectors, electronic equipment, and labels
  • Ability to annotate and modify documentation
  • Experience in the following areas: troubleshooting, repair, maintenance, installation and checkout procedures.
  • Ability to understand and comply with required QA/QC standards


Candidate must be able to complete the physical demands of the job, including but not limited to lifting, pulling, pushing and/or carrying up to 50 pounds, unassisted, on a regular basis; climbing into confined spaces within tactical vehicles; manipulating and handling objects needed for installation: reaching, grasping, twisting, turning and manipulating equipment and tools within confined spaces, as well as walking, bending, stooping, sitting, standing or squatting for extended periods of time.
