SAIC is hiring Deskside Support Technicians to support a civilian government agency.  Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a Federal Public Trust clearance.

 

Job Description:

Under minimal supervision, provides on-site technical support by performing installation, repair, and preventative maintenance of workstations and related software/hardware.

Coordinate and perform software installations and upgrades to operating systems and software packages (primarily Windows 10).

Troubleshoot software and hardware failures and apply domain specific knowledge to return equipment to operational status within agreed upon Service Level Agreements (SLA’s).

Install, troubleshoot, repair, operate, and maintain computers, workstations, laptops, thin clients, printers, scanners, and any other equipment within the scope of this task.

Assist with management of the IBM Endpoint Management (BigFix) System.

Creation and testing of deployable software packages, and software asset management, and software license management.

Create, test, deploy and manage FRTIB standard computer images.

Troubleshoots software and hardware failures and apply domain specific knowledge to return systems to operational status within agreed upon Service Level Agreements (SLA’s).

Interact daily with supervisor, peer groups and customers in order to manage work flow in timely and professional manner.

Ability to work in a dynamic environment and non- standard hours when needed; mission focused.

Be able to write technical documentation not limited to Standard Operating Procedures and Technical Reviews of possible future products.

 

Qualifications

   

Bachelor's degree in related field and 3+ years' experience or 7 years of related experience.

 

US Citizen with the ability to obtain a Federal Public Trust clearance.

 

Extensive experience with deploying, configuring and troubleshooting Microsoft OS (Windows 10), Active Directory, and Microsoft Office suite products.

 

Needs to be customer oriented, with excellent customer support skills in person, by email and over the phone.

 

 

Desired Qualifications

 

Experience with IBM's Big Fix products.

Experience creating, testing, deploying and managing computer images.

Experience with Windows 10.
