Description
JOB DESCRIPTION: Responsible primarily for system engineering, utilizing expert skills in protocols and protocol analysis as they relate to wired and wireless technology. Familiarity with the routing protocols BGP and SNMTP is required. Other responsibilities may include system integration, system testing, and documentation.
Conduct data captures to obtain network performance information
Design modules representing traditional circuit switched networks
Gather needed data to specify system/component performance and interface requirements
Provide input to the design of the organizations network and mission architecture
Provide the Tier 3 support and serves on the Network Administration team
Provide technical support to the Network Administrators and System Administrators, monitor and maintain the current infrastructure, improve system performance, and automate system administration
Configure and maintain organization's network diagrams and accreditations
Oversee the support to all network equipment
Support the integration of the analytic platform into the Computer Network Defense (CND) Community Data Center (CDC)
Integrate hardware and software to satisfy ISO 9000 requirements and other DoD/IC regulations
Design and implement supporting network infrastructure within the CND CDC located at Warner Robins AFB in Georgia to enable the operations of a CND analytic platform
Qualifications
TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Active TS/SCI with polygraph clearance
Ten (10) years of general experience in computer science, computer engineering, mathematics, or a related discipline, to include least five (5) years of experience in software intensive projects and programs for government or industry customers
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, mathematics, or a related discipline may be substituted for four (4) years of general experience
At least three (3) years of the experience must have been as a software engineer supporting software architecture development, requirements analysis, process execution and evaluation, selection and evaluation of COTS/GOTS tools, and integration (with both new and existing systems)
