Job Description


SAIC is seeking a Senior Program Analyst to provide project management and analytical support to senior DoD officials at the Undersecretary of Defense for Research and Engineering. This position requires close interaction with senior leadership staff within the Pentagon and across the Department of Defense (DoD) acquisition community, including Components, industry partners, academia, international partners, and associations to achieve mission goals and outcomes. Specifically, the Program Analyst helps our customers solve complex problems; manage project communications, meetings, schedules, risk, policy compliance, and workflow; plan and track travel, budgets, and reporting; and increase workforce productivity through process improvement. Job duties include:

  • Gather information; articulate, analyze, and solve problems; visualize and present information; and provide decision support to achieve mission outcomes.
  • Create/manage communications for the enterprise, group, and individuals including meeting agendas, briefings, and action items.
  • Develop weekly reports on significant activities, report on the effectiveness of events and processes.
  • Organize and facilitate internal and external communications on a wide array of subjects including internal and external tasks, program reviews, congressional events, invitations, and speaking engagements.
  • Responsible for overseeing the program budget and the associated activities for the government client, Program Manager, Deputy Program Manager, and Task Lead.
  • Liaise with R&E front office staff and external customers to obtain status on program financial activities.
  • Coordinate and participate in meetings, conferences, working groups, etc. by providing financial status on program-related activities.
  • Develop, coordinate, and execute program activities including:  Statements of Work, Military Interdepartmental Purchase Requests, and Fiscal Service (FS) Form 7600.
  • Collaborate with government and program stakeholders to gather requirements and provide input for the development of a program database and user interface for financial data.
  • Serve as workflow manager including creation/tracking of CATMS taskings.
  • Perform customer relationship management for Microelectronics ecosystems (meeting logistics, minutes, follow-up)
  • Lead for Trusted and Assured Microelectronics (T&AM) team Program Review/conference/workshop planning and management (T&AM-hosted reviews, workshops, etc.)
  • Lead for T&AM team conference/workshop abstract/presentation development, submittal, and public release approval (T&AM attendance at external conferences, workshops)
  • Manage OSD Microelectronics organization mailbox including calendar management for upcoming events and vendor engagements
  • Serve as action officer for daily emergent and quick-turn tasks
  • Support T&AM SharePoint portal and dashboard


  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Business, or related field
  • Five years of experience
  • Strong leadership, problem identification/resolution skills, flexibility, initiative, and a proven ability to work with Senior Executives efficiently and effectively.
  • Experience writing white papers, briefings, correspondence, and reports.
  • Excellent computer skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and databases.
  • Excellent organizational and team building skills, good interpersonal skills.
