Job Description



SAIC has several contingent opportunities available supporting The US Navy Ready Relevant Learning (RRL) Content Conversion project, a large Government program.

This effort will employ innovative instructional design and assessment strategies in conjunction with new and modernized technology. The goal of RRL is to provide the right training at the right time in the right way to improve the transfer of training to the work environment. RRL is a holistic approach to reimagining how the Navy trains its Sailors. It will transform the Navy’s current training model to deliver training across the continuum of a career using modern learning techniques that improve comprehension and retention of knowledge.

These positons are contingent upon contract award and can be located in Cookeville, TN, Virginia Beach, VA, Pensacola, FL, or DC Metro Area.


The Instructional Design Principal Prepares training curricula utilizing development applications to be delivered via computer based training, eLearning environments and learning management systems. Conducts training analysis, designs, develops training curricula, designs, develop multimedia/web storyboards and training, and measures, and evaluates effectiveness of training.  


KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Contributes to the development of new concepts, techniques, and standards.  Considered expert in field within the organization. Receives assignments in the form of objectives and establishes goals to meet objectives.  Provides guidance to more junior team members to achieve goals in accordance with established policies.  Work is reviewed and measured based on meeting objectives and schedules.  Establishes and recommends changes to policies, which affect organization. 







BASIC EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors Degree from an accredited institution and ten (10) years or more of related experience; Masters and eight (8) years or more experience ; PhD or JD and two (2) years or more experience   

Position requires ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance. Preference will be given to individuals with active current clearance.

US Citizenship required.
