SAIC has contingent opportunities for Sample Analysts to support the Army.  These positions are contingent upon contract award and will require 75% travel to South Korea.

 

The Sample Analyst (SA) will receive samples from the Sample Collector (SC) and maintain chain of custody, analyze samples to determine if a point sensor alarm indicates the presence of a chemical, biological, or nuclear warfare agent, and communicate the results from sample analysis to the C2 operator for further action. 


Expedites SAF analysis process and ensures field confirmatory results are available within 2-3 hours after the event starts


Possesses knowledge of system capabilities/limitations 


Retrieves a sample from the designated location and packages samples IAW applicable SOPs


Transports samples to the SAF and logs samples to maintain chain of custody


Performs decontamination operations IAW applicable SOP, and ensures sample storage/retention IAW SOP


Conducts and supervises detection, identification, decontamination, reconnaissance, surveillance, survey and monitor operations, and obscurant (smoke and field-flame expedient operations) processes


 associated with all aspects of CBRN defense


Conducts sensitive site exploitation, mitigation, escort and remediation processes of CBRN devices or hazards


Performs as a team member in support of CBRN reconnaissance and surveillance, detection, decontamination and obscuration operations


Replenishes consumables in systems


Performs quality assurance/control of lab facility and all of its instruments, consumables, assays, equipment, etc.


Delivers to USFK the ability to identify biological toxins and pathogens of operational concern in order to enable timely command decision making.














Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelors and 0 years related experience
4+ years working with the military, and CBRN experience accepted in lieu of degree


CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT: Must have an active Secret clearance
