Job Description


SAIC is seeking a Logistics Principal to join the team in Panama City Beach, FL.  Successful candidate will have experience with Navy Acquisition processes and life cycle management of shipboard systems. The candidate will need excellent attention to detail, a strong work ethic, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and ability to adjust to constantly changing priorities and tasks. This position involves direct contact with customers and fleet users, and demands performance that is both detail oriented and time critical. The ability to exercise independent judgment while working on multiple projects of diverse scope will be key to successful performance of the task requirements associated with this position. Some to travel (roughly 10%) is expected as needed to support program objectives.


  •          Independently developing and interpreting maintenance procedures, responding to fleet questions and issues and resolving technical hardware and software problems associated with shipboard maintenance. 
  •          Processes and documentation development including: Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM), Maintenance Index Pages, Maintenance Requirements Cards, Technical Feedback Reports, Engineering Change Orders, Enterprise Change Requests, Technical Data Packages, and system baseline data to prepare ILS products in support of system life cycle sustainment.  RCM certification Level I or II is desirable.
  •          Perform system fault analysis, life cycle maintenance and integrated product support of major systems in support of Milestone B and C including Integrated Logistics Assessments.
  •          Ability plan, estimate, schedule and manage assignments based on redlined drawings and technical documentation for development of user support products, life cycle support plans, and acquisition required documentation.
  •          Develop raw material and scheduling requirements from engineering specifications and production schedules. Plan and manage material movement with purchasing, warehouse, and production in support of test programs and fleet introduction.
  •        Work with a logistics and engineering team for execution and continuous improvement of standard logistic processes including maintenance, supply support, transportation and logistics plans.
  •      Program formulation, policy planning, coordination, inspection, integrated logistics processes, joint planning logistics, acquisition and product support, asset visibility, and material management. 


Individual must be able to obtain and maintain an active Secret security clearance.

Ten (10) years or more of related experience.  Equivalent combination of experience and education will be considered.
