Description

SAIC is in need of a qualified Computer Numeric Control (CNC) programmer/operator to work part-time/on call status at the Hollywood, Maryland facility in support of US Navy, Marine Corps and other programs. 

The CNC Machinist will provide support involving design, development, prototyping, modification, and integration of components. They will be responsible for ensuring compliance to customer specifications and requirements with a variety of concepts, practices, and procedures.

The CNC Machinist will need to be able rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years CNC experience - Ability to work both independently and collaboratively 
  • Proficiency with CNC Programming 
  • Ability to read and interpret complex drawings 
  • Ability to work multiple projects simultaneously/multi-task 
  • Problem solving Skills 
  • Qualified candidate must have experience operating and Setting up CNC vertical mills as well as Setting up and operating manual mills. 
  • Candidate must be able to use calipers, dial indicators, standard hand tools, Ability to read and interpret complex drawings, Knowledge of tooling, and have Strong Programming skills. 
  • Experience in CAM/CAD Programming is required. 
  • Candidate must be able to work independently as well as collaboratively.

  • Familiarity with ISO9001/AS9100 processes and procedures
