SAIC has a contingent job opportunity to support a Navy customer in Virginia Beach, VA as part of the Navy Maritime Maintenance Enterprise Solution (NMMES) Technical Refresh. This position is contingent on contract award expected mid 2020.
The Navy Maritime Maintenance Enterprise Solution – Technical Refresh (NMMES-TR) is a Department of the Navy (DON) Defense Business System (DBS) Business Category 1 (BCAT 1) program implementing a technical refresh of the NMMES systems and applications. NMMES consists of the Information Technology (IT) tools used to perform the Navy’s shore-based intermediate and depot level maintenance activities for submarines, aircraft carriers, and surface ships. The community of users encompasses a global workforce of 51,000 military and civilian personnel, all using IT in varying capacities to perform their work functions. The majority of IT systems and applications within the current NMMES suite are either at or beyond end-of-life, with escalating operation and sustainment costs and increasing risk for critical failure. The NMMES-TR Program will transition to a modern enterprise solution that is secure, scalable, available, useable, and adaptable.
The NMMES-TR Program is targeting the major functional capabilities of shore-based maritime maintenance for technical refresh, including Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO); Project and Portfolio Management (PPM); Environment, Safety, and Occupational Health (ESOH); Supply Chain Management (SCM); and Data Analytics and Business Intelligence (DA/BI). A cloud-based Capability Integration Platform (CIP) will be selected that will host systems and applications and provide shared services across applications to ensure seamless integration and migration.
The Instructional Systems Design Team Manager prepares training curricula utilizing development applications to be delivered via computer based training, eLearning environments and learning management systems. Conducts training analysis, designs and develops training curricula, designs and develop multimedia/web storyboards and training, and measures and evaluates effectiveness of training.
Manages experienced professionals who exercise discretion and independent judgment performing assignments. Often heads one or more sections of a small department. Interprets and administers policies, processes, and procedures that may affect sections and subordinate work units. Interacts frequently with internal personnel and outside representatives at various levels. Participates and presents at meetings with internal and external representatives. Plays a key role in cooperative effort among members of a project team made up of representatives from other departments.
