DescriptionSAIC is supporting the Systems Simulation, Software and Integration Directorate (S3I) in the sustainment and development of the Battle Operations Software Suite (BOSS). A Test Engineer is needed to support BOSS requirements verification, performance analysis, and system level testing.
The BOSS Program is responsible for providing an organic precision targeting capability and multi-domain fires capability to operational elements and echelons below the brigade level at the tactical edge as well as other government agencies and services to facilitate cross domain fires expansion. BOSS software and systems utilize various field sensors, radars and camera systems to report coarse target location in order to detect, identify and defeat threats thru engagement with cross domain fires capabilities.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Design and create test procedures
Provide traceability from requirement to technical specifications
Lead and execute testing events
Develop test plans
Develop test procedures for software and hardware testing
Document results of testing
Track issues to successful resolution
Required Education: BS degree and nine (9) years experience [4+ additional years of experience may be used in lieu of degree].
Understanding of software test methodologies
Strong presentation and communication skills
Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
Strong analytical and problem solving abilities
Strong attention to detail and follow-through skills
Experience using version control software
10% Travel should be expected
Experience with BOSS system architectures
Experience with Army Training
