SAIC is looking for a senior engineer to serve as team lead for a small group of engineers and scientist supporting the design, development, demonstration and operation of the AFRL/RW Kinetic-Kill Hardware-in-the-Loop Simulation (KHILS) facility Radio-Frequency Target Simulator (RFTS) at Eglin AFB, FL.  This activity is a multi-disciplined multi-contractor endeavor. SAIC is one of these contractors and is looking for an experienced individual to lead the SAIC portion of this activity.

 

The applicant must have 15 or more years’ experience in the design, development and application of real-time RF target simulators used to support testing and analysis of breadboard, brass board and functional RF seeker systems and subsystems.  The applicant’s experience must demonstrate fundamental knowledge of the advanced technologies, operating principles, and hardware and software implementations of advanced RF seeker systems and subsystems and experience testing these systems in a real-time hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) environment.


The applicant must also have 5 or more years’ experience in a leadership role directing, monitoring and assessing task team progress.  This should include experience producing progress briefings, progress reports and comprehensive final task reports.

Qualifications

  • 5 or more years’ team leadership experience
  • 15 or more years’ experience working in a real-time HWIL seeker test environment
  • BS degree in engineering or physics (or other closely related degree)
  • Must qualify for a US government secret security clearance (existing Secret clearance preferred)
  • Experience using and programing C++, Matlab/Simulink, and Python
  • Experience with Windows and Lenox operating systems environments
