SAIC is seeking a senior engineer to support test and evaluation of optical sensors and associated software at the AFRL’s Kinetic-Kill Hardware-in-the-Loop Simulation (KHILS) facility at Eglin AFB, FL. This activity is a multi-disciplined multi-contractor endeavor, and the work involves physics-based data generation, as well as test planning, execution, analysis and documentation.
The applicant must have 15 or more years’ experience in the process of creating high fidelity scene objects, environment models and sensor models using a wide range of geometric models, thermal models and sensor models, and the data generated must support real-time and faster than real-time testing in algorithm, software and hardware-in-the-loop modes. The applicant must also be able to use physics-based judgement to evaluate the performance of the unit-under-test in all of the above test modes.
