Description

SAIC is seeking a Task Order Manager to oversee a portfolio of FAA ATEPS Task Orders with responsibility for cost, schedule, performance and growth totaling over $30M per year. Key responsibilities/requirements include:

  • Developing strong customer business relationships that will enable consistent and reliable quality services and grow direct labor.
  • Interface with subcontractor management on assigned task orders (TOs), review subcontractor labor and cost forecasts, monitor subcontractor technical, schedule and cost performance.
  • Validate TO fund depletion (funding vs forecast) and work with Program Control Analysts (PCAs) and contracts to ensure execution without SAIC risk. If necessary, work with the customer to mitigate service interruptions due to funding or period of performance expiration.
  • Maintain project/TO baseline (labor, travel and ODCs) and ensure updates are completed in a timely manner
  • Be technically involved in task orders activities and ensure the work and deliverables are of high quality and completed on schedule.
  • Communicate and interact regularly with the Task Order team and FAA client; ensure SAIC ATEPS Program Manager is apprised of current project status, issues, etc. in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate with customer and subcontract teammates regarding staffing changes to include additions, deletions, and changes in planned level of effort
  • Identify and grow new offerings and new programs using established client relationships
  • Interface with Volpe/FAA TO CORs/TORs and FAA PMs to review cost reports, burn rates, run out dates, staffing status, etc.
  • Provide ongoing operational interface between SAIC, the FAA and customers for assigned TOs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors and nine (9) years or more of related experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more of related experience.
  • Demonstrated success in establishing and maintaining positive customer relationships resulting in favorable business opportunities and outcomes
  • A minimum of 3 years of previous program/project management experience supporting the FAA
  • Prior experience with recruiting to include identifying resource needs, writing job descriptions, interviewing and candidate selection.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills
  • Ability to easily adapt to respond to changing and/or competing priorities
  • Ability to satisfy FAA security requirements

Desired Qualifications

 
  • Professional certification in program management or related field
