Job Responsibilities:
 

Provide support to FAA Aircraft Certification Service responsible for reviewing and entering the requests into the FOIA National Tracking System and assigning to the appropriate FAA Line of Business (LOB) in the Service Area Regions. Monitors compliance with established completion dates.

• Knowledge of the Agency FOIA program sufficient to ensure compliance with all requirements. Selects and applies appropriate program evaluation and measurement techniques in determining the extent of compliance with rules and regulations issued by FAA.

• Provides guidance to managers and Subject matter experts in interpreting regulations, orders and policies and interfaces with line of business managers and points of contact throughout the assigned service office to accomplish FOIA activities. Serves as a liaison to external customers and recipients to clarify and resolve issues.

• Under the guidance of FAA FOIA specialist, computes or verifies the computation of FOIA related fees and monitors collection.

• Prepares reports relevant to the FOIA program throughout the Service Office. Assists in Monitoring trends and developing data related to the FOIA program. On a recurring basis, analyzes the number of FOIA requests received to prepare reports and identify trends.

• Provides information to the Managers and FAA employees within their assigned service office. The incumbent maintains contact with FAA FOIA coordinators to exchange information and advice, and training regarding FOIA policy and procedures. He/she reports issues with the FOIA process or electronic system to the FOIA team and manager.

•Reviews FOIA appeal documentation for legal, regulatory, and procedural compliance.

• Works in a team environment to ensure the maintenance of quality management system certification through internal and external audits and continuous improvement.

Job Description:
 

Performs qualitative and quantitative analyses, including project planning and execution, life cycle acquisition planning and management, risk analysis and mitigation plan development. Also requires experience in complex programs. Requires knowledge of contractor earned value/performance reporting and analysis. Demonstrated experience with work breakdown structures, cost accounting principles/financial models, schedule development and analysis, and technical performance measurement is required.


Qualifications

Job Qualifications:
 

Bachelor's Degree in a subject matter related technical or management discipline and 2 years of experience in performing the above duties. Bachelor's Degree may be waived with 5 years of experience in performing the above duties. Must be able to obtain SF85P public trust background check.


Freedom of Information Act experience required.
