Description

SAIC is looking for an experienced System Administrator to staff a High-End Classified Computing Environment, to support Windows and Linux Desktops, Linux Servers, and Stand-Alone systems.


The key responsibilities would include: installation, configuration, administration and troubleshooting centralized and distributed physical, and virtual, Windows and Linux operating systems; provide technical and operational knowledge to configure and maintain hardware, operating software, and business applications, while providing problem and incident support, including participation in troubleshooting activities for continuous improvement; deliver a stable and secure workstation system administration in a safe, agile, and innovative way, enabling mission productivity and enhanced positive end-user experience.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management of Information Systems, or relevant discipline and 2 years or more experience OR 6 years or more experience in lieu of degree.
  • Windows system administration experience from 1-3 years
  • Linux system administration experience from 1-3 years
  • RedHat experience from 1-3 years
  • System Administration skills for Windows & Linux High End Classified Computing Environment for:
    • System Setup
    • Account Management
    • File services
    • Network Configuration
    • License Management
    • Application Hosting
    • End-User Application Support
  • Can start with a DOE L Clearance, but must be able to obtain a DOE Q Clearance, or DOD equivalent  
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with other IT professionals
  • Ability to work well in a collaborative team environment

Desired Qualifications

 
  • Previous experience with DOD or DOE with operating classified systems in accordance with Security Protocol
  • Ability to perform software development using Python & Bash from 1-3 years
  • Current DOE Clearance or DOD TS Clearance
