SAIC is currently looking for candidates to join our OMDAC SWACA II team upon award. Team SAIC is pursuing the opportunity to provide operation, maintenance, and defense support of Title X communications equipment and information systems under the purview of the Network Enterprise Technology Command (NETCOM), 160th Signal Brigade and its subordinate units in the Southwest Asia (SWA) Theater of operations. Positions are located in Afghanistan, Iraq, and Kuwait and include a range of qualifications.
The Voice System Engineer will serve as Theater Subject Matter expert and maintenance support engineer for all Voice and Voice Over IP (VOIP) Telecommunications requirements in the AOR, to include NIPR, SIPR, and CENTRIXS. Set-Up and configure major voice systems employed throughout the AOR. Manage, monitor and maintain situational awareness of the VOIP architecture, to include systems and projects, under the responsibility of the customer. Primary focus will be implementing upgrades and growth of new and existing systems. Responsible for providing expert technical assistance for VoIP growth of networks, System upgrades, and new equipment purchases. Daily tasks will include the following: manage and maintain the Tier 1 Cisco Call Managers, Gatekeepers and Gateway equipment, as applicable, on SIPR, NIPR, and CENTRIXS networks, monitor and identify capacity, quality and performance issues for VoIP traffic to ensure continued, uninterrupted operation of telephony systems. Collaborate with all sections within the Network Operations Security Centers (NOSC) to ensure that VoIP traffic does not interfere with or hinder network data traffic. Provide 24/7 support for all VoIP operations and maintenance requirements. Prepare, maintain, and review circuit level voice IP drawings according to CENTCOM Standards. Coordinate with Government representatives to develop VoIP Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTP) for VoIP implementation within the theater. Perform analysis of VoIP degradations and failures, and then provide trend analysis and recommendations to the NOSC director to avert future issues. The Contractor shall provide the IA section with completed and accurate VoIP Diagrams.
Minimum years 5+ years related experience.
Minimum of three years in the following:
Cisco Call Manager and Call Manager Express expertise
Experience with Cisco VoIP Systems Call Manager 6.0
Minimum of two years in any of the following:
DSN (Defense Switched Networks) experience.
Knowledge of End Office/PBX Configurations
Expertise in WAN Network facilities and Protocol.
Expertise in voice signaling Protocol SIP, H.323, MGCP, and SS7.
Minimum years of experience is dependent on job level
For Voice Systems a working knowledge of basic electronics, including analog and digital logic, multiplexing, modulation techniques, and switching; Knowledge of specialized test, measurement and diagnostic equipment (TMDE); knowledge of COMSEC equipment such as KG-95, KIV-7, KIV-19, and KG-175.
IAT II maybe required for some positions
