Required duties/skills to include but not limited to:
Document Baseline Status and Metrics
Organize and document status of ongoing remediation efforts
Collect and document weekly metrics on remediation efforts
Work with stake holders to determine Plans of Action and Milestones for A&A work
Plans Information System Security Evaluation
Evaluates information security technologies using manual and automated tools.
Validates system hardening and provides guidance for security configuration
Utilizes security tools to determine if remediation efforts were successful
Collects evidence of remediation for submission to the customer for validation
Conducts Periodic internal audits for Risk and Compliance
Will utilize in house tools to determine if issues have been fixed, collect data on issues, and work with stake holders to determine when efforts can be completed.
Ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust level clearance.
Desired Skills for this position:
Prior experience managing Information Security Monitoring
Monitoring and analyzing information security alerts from network devices and information systems
Responds and/or directs the response to information security incidents
Reports risk posture of information systems
Collaborates with various teams and government sponsors on new threat indicators
Knowledge of CIS Benchmarks and/or STIG
Required Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and 5 years of Information Systems Security Engineering
CISSP or equivalent certification.
Prior experience with Tripwire products or DB Protect desired.
