REQUIRED/MINUMUM EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree and five (5) years or more relevant experience in IT systems engineering and/or system administration. Will also consider HS and 9 years of experience.
Must meet baseline information assurance (IA) certification requirements for an IAT Level II position per DoD 8570.01-M (Security+, Computing Environment)
Candidate must have an Active Secret Security Clearance to be considered.
Installation, configuration, and advanced troubleshooting experience with Microsoft Windows Operating Systems (Windows Server 2012, Windows Server 2016, Windows 10)
Installation, configuration, and advanced troubleshooting experience with Linux Operating Systems (Red Hat, CentOS)
Experience working with vendors to troubleshoot hardware and software issues
Knowledge of Federal and DoD Guidance, STIG compliance, DITSCAP, DIACAP, NIACAP, NIST RMF, eMASS, and DoD Authorization and Assessment processes Required.
Work Location/Duty Station: This position requires the employee to be located at Redstone Arsenal, AL
Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP)/Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE)
Experience with design, implementation, and operations of server and/or datacenter virtualization technology.
Familiar with VDI design, implementation, and administration linked-clones, updating images, composer operations, templates, folder redirection or roaming profiles, etc.
Understanding of networking concepts such as vLAN tagging, subnetting, routing, link aggregates, LACP, trunking, etc.
Experience working with PowerShell scripts other advanced scripting experience
Familiar with creating, monitoring and troubleshooting backup jobs;
Hands-on server management in a mixed Windows/Linux environment; Hands- on experience implementing DoD PKI (ActiveClient, certificate authorities, etc.)
Hands-on network administration experience with Cisco network components, network and endpoint security solutions.
