SAIC is actively seeking an experienced Systems Engineer (Architecture and Assessment) to join our team in Huntsville, AL. This position requires that the candidate have an active Secret Security Clearance to be considered.
Performs Systems Engineering activities in support of the Missile Defense Agency Engineering Directorate, Ground Based Mid-course Defense (GMD) Ground-Based Interceptor (GBI) Project Office Systems Engineering.
Provide Risk Analysis support; Create and update risk quad charts and coordinate content with the GBI team members.
Coordinate systems engineering with other GMD organizations to ensure alignment and consistency with the GMD Program Office in support of All Up Round Lead Systems Engineer.
This position requires a BA/BS in Engineering, Science, Mathematics or related technical degree and 10+ years of related experience (or equivalent combination).
Demonstrated experience in the development and assessment of technical documentation (drawings, specifications, test reports, operator procedures) necessary to ensure the government’s ability to support fielding, operations and sustainment activities of the weapon system.
Solid understanding and practical experience formulating technical processes (systems engineering, failure review boards, operational readiness and risk management) for large, complex programs
Solid technical writing and presentation development capability
Experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook)
U.S. citizen and must possess active Secret security clearance
Familiarity and understanding of Industry and DOD systems engineering standards such as DOD 5000.02, IEEE 15288, MIL-STD-961, and MIL-HDBK-61
