Support Applied Research and Technology Maturation objectives for Advanced Hypersonic technologies by coordinating/overseeing the technical details and engineering efforts of university and industry partners associated with the SBIR and STTR programs.
Assist in Requirements Development, verification and validation and testing of stakeholder deliverables
Monitor Budget, Schedule, and Scope for key deliverables
Coordinate integrated master schedules to assist with testing, validating and modeling prototype efforts to support in depth analysis for possible incorporation into program technology.
Translate requirements into configured systems and verify that designs meet end users' operational needs.
Characterize and manage risk.
Foster technology transfer through cooperative R&D between small businesses and research institutions.
Development of static and dynamic design and analysis of mechanical systems, equipment and packages.
Conduct feasibility studies and testing on new and modified designs.
Directing support personnel in the preparation of detailed design, design testing and prototype fabrication.
Providing design information to drafting for packaging documentation.
Supporting the development of new concepts, theories, and products.
Planning R&D programs and recommending technological application programs to accomplish long-range objectives.
Serving as a consultant to top management in long-range company planning concerning new or projected areas of technological research and advancements.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND CLEARENCE:
Bachelors and 18 years' of experience, MS and 16 years' of experience, or PHD and 15 years' or more of experience
US citizen with a DoD Secret Clearance and the ability on obtain a DoD Secret clearance
Must have prior leadership experience in the management of advanced technology products as well as experience communicating and coordinating complex engineering/programmatic requirements with Navy Stakeholders, including development of complex technical briefs for Senior Leadership.
Candidate must have experience with all aspects of the Systems Engineering Process.
10+ years in aeronautical/aerospace industry and experience developing strategic plans for programs
