SAIC is seeking a Tactical Combat Critical Care (TC3) Medical SME’s for work in various African countries with the Partnership for Regional East Africa Counterterrorism (PREACT) and Trans Sahara Counterterrorism Partnership (TSCTP). The program provides mentoring, advising, and training support and assistance to Host Nation (HN) training centers, their cadre, and units (company to brigade size and including multi-national force headquarters) in training for peacekeeping missions. This training may include extensive field medical training as well as training, equipment and infrastructure support for the training center and its staff and instructors.
Positions are located in English and non-English speaking countries. Foreign language (primarily French) capability is highly desired for consideration in non-English speaking locations.
The duties and responsibilities for the TC3 Trainer include but are not limited to the following:
Prepare and conduct Tactical Combat Casualty Care Training
Mentor, advise, assist, and/or train Partner Nation military personnel in in appropriate medical skills to conduct triage, lifesaving, and medical evacuation procedures.
Assist in preparing and conducting all TC3 Training
Develop POIs, lesson plans, and training support packages for directed training
Coordinate methods of training and follow on training with partner nation medical personnel
Support the preparation of partner country battalions and brigades for PSO deployments
Provide training involving classroom instruction and hands on practical applications
Conduct training in the training language of the Host Nation Military
Must be a US citizen with current US Passport & US State Driver’s License
Must have one (1) or more years delivering TC3 training to foreign militaries.
Must possess current National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians certification as an AEMT. (Registration must be valid prior to deployment, and remain valid throughout the period of deployment).
Must possess current approved CPR professional rescuer, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and advanced trauma training credentials (i.e., Basic Trauma Life Support (BTLS) or Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) or equivalent).
Must have experience/knowledge in current Tactical Combat Casualty Care guidelines.
Two (2) or more years of general experience as a paramedic.
Fluent command of the English language
Two (2) or more years of experience in a clinic setting (urgent care, emergency room, etc.)
Graduate of Special Operations Combat Medics Course.
