SAIC has an opening for a SharePoint Administrator located in Springfield, VA.

Position Description: 

The Program Management Information Systems (PMIS) Junior/Mid-Level SharePoint Administrator will support the Vanguard 2.2.1 contract as a member of the Program Management Information System (PMIS) team to provide SharePoint support the State Department Bureau of Information Resource Management (IRM). The SharePoint Administrator will report to the PMIS Service Line Manager and will assist in the design, development, and maintenance of SharePoint site collections required to support execution of the Vanguard 2.2.1 contract.

Description of Duties:

  • Serve as Tier 1-2 support for MS SharePoint service requests from Vanguard 2.2.1 internal users.
  • Perform routine administrative updates such as metadata, permissions, navigation and notifications.
  • Manage working portal site content and configuration under supervision from the PMIS Lead.
  • Assist in the development of new sites, features, libraries, lists, workflows using SharePoint industry best practices.
  • Develop and maintain internal and user documentation such as requirements lists, test plans, quick reference and usage guides.
  • Solicit technical guidance and oversight from Senior SharePoint administrators.

Qualifications

Required Education/Experience: 
Associates degree in an Information Technology (IT) or related discipline. 

Minimum of 3+ years of experience to include:
  • Working in a SharePoint 2010 or 2013/2016 environment
  • Some proficiency with MS SharePoint 2010 or 2013/2016 administration and SharePoint Designer.
  • Experience with end-user or customer support in an IT environment.
  • Strong written and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint.
Desired Experience/Skills/Attributes:
  • Bachelor’s degree in an IT related discipline. 
  • SharePoint 2013/2016/Online experience.
  • Business process engineering (e.g. workflow development).
  • Tier 2/3 customer support.
  • SQL database experience (design, development and fielding).
  • SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
  • CompTIA Security + certification.
  • CompTIA A+ certification.
