SAIC is currently seeking candidates for a National Security Analyst (International Program Support)
Job Description: Individual provides technical and analytical support to a wide range of actions in the Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Nuclear Matters (ODASD(NM)) regarding the national strategic deterrent. Nature of work actively engages issues, actions, and initiatives concerning, or relating to, the policy, management, research, development, deployment, transportation, safety, security, storage, and training for the stewardship of nuclear weapons. Particular emphasis includes engagement through international agreements with partner nations concerning nuclear deterrence. Fulfillment of these responsibilities entails research and analysis support to the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Nuclear, Chemical, and Biological Defense Programs (ASD(NCB)) in their role in international (bi- and multilateral) engagement and will contribute to the preparation of joint, annual DoD/DOE reports for delivery to the President and/or to the Congress. Reviews documents, contributes to studies or task forces, prepares papers and staff summaries and briefings, and attends/participates in meetings in support of ODASD(NM) and the ASD(NCB), as directed.

Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree (BA, BS or BBA) is required, and 10 years relevant experience. Major in chemistry, mathematics, physics, nuclear physics, nuclear engineering, political sciences, or international security studies/national security studies (with a minimum of six or more college level courses in statistics, mathematics, engineering, or physical sciences), is preferred.
