SAIC is seeking candidates for the DISA Joint C2 Portfolio Systems Engineering (JC2) initiative which is comprised of four (4) major Department of Defense (DoD) programs: the Global Command and Control System-Joint (GCCS-J), the Global Combat Support System-Joint (GCSS-J), the Joint Planning and Execution Services (JPES), and the Global Command and Control System-Joint Enterprise (GCCS-JE). JC2 is an overarching approach for fulfilling requirements to provide systems engineering technical and management support for the planning, implementation, and execution of current and future enterprise Information Technology (IT) capabilities and computing services.
The candidate for this position possesses and applies a comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments. Plans and leads major technology assignments. Evaluates performance results and recommends major changes affecting short-term project growth and success. Functions as a technical expert across multiple project assignments. Supervises others.
The Senior Cybersecurity Engineer:
Analyzes and defines security requirements for multilevel security (MLS) systems.
Design, develops, engineers, and integrates solutions to MLS requirements.
Supports the development of System Operation Procedure documents.
Applies knowledge of IT Governance requirements, risk mitigation strategies, and encryption and decryption capabilities to establish secure solutions.
Performs risk analysis, including risk assessment processes and procedures.
Recommends information assurance/security solutions to support customers’ requirements.
Performs analysis, design, and development of security features for system architectures.
Designs, develops, engineers, and implements solutions that meet security requirements.
Provides integration and implementation of the computer system security solution.
Analyzes general information assurance-related technical problems and provides basic engineering and technical support in solving these problems.
Performs vulnerability/risk analyses of computer systems and applications during all phases of the system development life cycle.
Researches and evaluates cyber capabilities and new security tools and products against operational requirements and introduces them to the enterprise in alignment with IT security strategy, and to support the offensive and defensive capability design and troubleshoot and problem solve technical and non-technical issues.
Eight (8) or more years of experience in a relevant IT engineering mission area.
Bachelors and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more experience; PhD and four (4) or more experience.
