SAIC is seeking a LEVEL 1 Network Operations (NETOPS) Service Desk Associate focused on Tactical Communications in a Defense Support of Civil Authorities (DSCA) mission. Duties will include assisting the LEVEL 2 NETOPS Service Desk Associate in management of network infrastructure, implementing network security policies in line with Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) guidelines, troubleshooting, configuring and repairing network solutions to meet customer needs. Additionally, the Network Associate will assist in identifying network faults and provide solutions to problems, provide network technical support to internal and external network systems, troubleshoot lower level network problems, and validate on a daily basis operation of network services.

The LEVEL 1 Network Operations (NETOPS) Service Desk Associate is expected to be a fast learner, highly motivated, and adaptable person as the majority of training related to the Service Desk will be on the job training (OJT). Strong interpersonal skills, documentation and reporting abilities are also a must.

Additional expectations include the following:

Qualifications

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent years of relevant experience
  • Ability to obtain certifications: CCENT, CompTIA Security+

Desired Qualifications

 

  • Demonstrated analytical problem solver with strong computer skills
  • Familiarity with both desktop and server environments
  • Basic understanding of virtual infrastructure environments
