The US Navy Ready Relevant Learning (RRL) Content Conversion project is to employ innovative instructional design and assessment strategies in conjunction with new and modernized technology. The goal of RRL is to provide the right training at the right time in the right way to improve the transfer of training to the work environment.
Improved training transfer will be accomplished by:
• Converting designated course so they are compatible with the waterfront or shipboard environment and contribute to the acquisition of actionable knowledge.
• Scheduling the converted content closer in time to when the training will be put into practice in the work environment.
• Developing modernized high-velocity instructional media that is engaging, learner-centric and available at the point of need.
RRL is a holistic approach to reimagining how the Navy trains its Sailors. It will transform the Navy’s current training model to deliver training across the continuum of a career using modern learning techniques that improve comprehension and retention of knowledge.
Period of performance will be 24 months, and we are anticipating work to begin May 2019. Work will located at SAIC facilities throughout the U.S., and there are also options to telework.
