Description

SAIC is seeking a Military Health Project Analyst to support the Defense Health Agency (DHA).

 

Note: This is a mid-level position that allows telework 3 – 4 days per week, with the ideal candidate located in the DC-Maryland- Virginia region, due to weekly client meetings that will occur in Falls Church, VA.  


Note: This is not an IT/health IT position.

 

Job Duties:

  • Provide staff support to Action Officers/Chairs of Military Health System (MHS) Clinical Communities, work groups, and a variety of military healthcare projects.

  • Work on projects aimed towards maximizing quality, safety, outcomes, access, and cost effectiveness of military healthcare.

  • Drafting briefs, correspondence, talking points, testimony, and papers in response to senior leadership direction, information requests, reports to Congress, GAO audits, etc.

  • Implementing evidence-based clinical pathways, and optimization of medical specialty lines.

  • Support meeting management

  • Providing consultation to senior DoD clients using healthcare industry expertise to facilitate healthcare change management solutions and execution of strategic goals, taskers, and inter/intra departmental initiatives related to specialty care and interdisciplinary medicine.

  • Monitor and direct day-to-day operations of assigned tasks to ensure that policies and procedures are being followed, that contract and client goals and objectives are met, and that services and projects are being accomplished effectively and efficiently.

  • Facilitate discussions with subject matter experts, focus groups, and work groups to facilitate military health governance activities and reporting.

  • Work independently and collaboratively with DoD senior leadership, research, and clinical subject matter experts, clinical providers, and education and training professional staff to provide analytical support, translate information, develop insights, and compile information for clients.


Qualifications

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelors and six (6) years or more of related experience; OR Masters and four (4) years or more experience; OR PhD and 0 years related experience

  • US Citizen who can meet security requirements for obtaining a Public Trust and Common Access Card (CAC).

  • 3+ years of military health experience

  • Experience with development of military health practices, policies, guidelines, and standards.

  • Comfortable working with clients, program management team, and Senior Military Heal Care officials.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
