SAIC is seeking a Research Portfolio Management (RPM) Task Lead to manage a multidisciplinary team within the Defense Health Agency (DHA)’s Research & Development Directorate (J-9).
The J-9 research mission focuses on medical and health services research to improve quality and continuity of care for service members, veterans and their beneficiaries. The RPM Task Lead will provide cross-organizational coordination and management of J-9’s $2B medical research portfolio throughout the research lifecycle, from concept to closure, to improve efficiencies and reduce duplication in research activities; provide additional audit services for budget and resource management; support legal and regulatory services related to research Technology Transfer and Human Subjects Protection; and collectively optimize cost-effectiveness and return on investment, while providing added value for the identification of innovative approaches and best practices.
Master’s or Doctoral Degree in a health or biomedical science field (e.g., medicine, nursing, biology, chemistry, psychology, public health, epidemiology, medicine, or related interdisciplinary degree). Doctorate preferred. Master’s degree candidates must have minimum of 5 years of experience in management or consultant role; Doctoral degree with minimum of 3 years’ of experience in management or consultant role.
Familiarity with Department of Defense policies and processes related to research, development, and acquisitions (e.g., Defense Acquisition University training certificate, demonstrated knowledge of DoD 5000 regulations)
