The Defense Systems Group of SAIC is currently seeking a Logistics Analyst to support its Force Protection operations in the Horn of Africa.
Logistician will receive, inventory, and assist government transfer of IBD property from CONUS property book to OCONUS Theater Provided Equipment (TPE) property book accounts. Logisticians will assist government arranging for and transporting equipment from major Hubs to Forward Operating Bases (FOB) in high-risk areas currently operated by US military forces. Logisticians can expect to be deployed 6 months or longer to SWA. Logisticians may be required to deploy to austere FOBs throughout SWA to assist inventory and property transfer actions.
Logisticians will be required to assist the movement of material shipments from CONUS into theater. Coordinate and manage intra-theater movement of materials from the logistics site to the facility of employment. Manage the retrograde of faulty equipment. Conduct inventories, and manage spares stockage. Input system hardware receipt and inventory management data into a logistics database.
Must meet DoD Height / Weight standards. Must currently possess a SECRET security clearance. Must satisfactorily complete CONUS Replacement Center (CRC) requirements, including medical and dental requirements prior to deployment. Must be willing to live and work in austere, hostile environment for extended periods of time

REQUIRED EDUCATION: Bachelor’s and 4 + years of experience in areas of related Program Management, Force Protection, or Logistics experience is required (equivalent experience accepted in lieu of degree).
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: Eight years of experience related Force Protection, Logistics, or Technical experience is required. Direct Army logistical experience is a plus. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office to include Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Experience in a combat environment is desired.
