Job Description



Looking for an experienced Solution Architect to join an innovative team working on meaningful work in an agile environment. The successful candidate will be a thought leader, comfortable providing technical leadership and direction to multiple development teams.  The Solution Architect will design application solutions for large and small efforts that meet business requirements while aligning with longer-term enterprise architecture standards and approaches.  They will model their solution architectures in multiple views to be shared and reviewed with various stakeholders for feedback and approval.  The ideal candidate will have a strong background in application development with .NET technologies, object oriented design, data modeling, web services design and microservices as well as a strong desire to learn and build towards cloud-based solutions. The candidate must be flexible, patient, have a great attitude, and be willing to work outside of the box to accomplish the mission.



  • Architects and designs technical application solutions needed to meet high-level business requirements.     
  • Works directly with developers, enterprise architecture, DBAs, and Infrastructure engineers to develop appropriate solutions architectural approaches to meet requirements.
  •  Leverages industry and organizational standards, patterns, frameworks, and best practices to develop architectures that enable fulfillment of business strategies.

  • Coordinate resolution of highly complex problems and tasks, selling new ideas and concepts in support of goals and objectives.
  • Translate complex concepts into tactical action plans balancing near term and long range needs and constraints.

  • Explains complex technical information to technical and non-technical contacts.

  • Effectively builds relationships, promotes a collaborative team environment, and influences stakeholders.
  • Coaches and leads developers on good design principles.




  • BS Degree (4 years experience in lieu of degree)
  • 10 years experience designing object oriented applications using .NET
  • Experience creating solution architectures and solution modeling for enterprise level systems.
  • Experience in modeling at the data, application and technical layers.
  • Experience defining architectures leveraging service-based application architectures including microservices.
  • Experience with JavaScript & Angular.
  • Excellent innovative thinking skills, and the ability to analyze details and map those to a big-picture view.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent analytical, oral, and written communications skills.
  • Demonstrated skill in developing presentations for business and technical audiences.
  • Ability to pass a government NACI background investigation for public trust positions

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with emerging architecture and development practices (Agile, DevOps, REST).
  • Experience or certifications on cloud platforms in general, especially migrating applications to Azure.
  • Experience with SharePoint and Dynamics365.
  • Experience with automated CI/CD, including Team Foundation Server, Selenium and ReadyAPI.
