Description
As an SAIC Senior Business Analyst, you will be responsible for gathering important information needed to generate requirements, use cases, business process models, and other artifacts necessary to document the changing business IT landscape of our client. Review, analyze and evaluate business systems and user needs. Our ideal candidate has the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and translate business data into digestible information that improves client processes.
Develop comprehensive use cases at the application and multi-application levels
Work collaboratively to ensure quality and delivery of all work products
Determine and document user requirements for business processes and abide by those requirements for future projects
Determine operational objectives by studying business functions; gathering information; evaluating output requirements and formats
Construct workflow charts and diagrams; studying system capabilities; writing specifications
Improve systems by studying current practices; designing modifications
Recommend controls by identifying problems; writing improved procedures
Define project requirements by identifying project milestones, phases and elements; forming project team; establishing project budget
Monitor project progress by tracking activity; resolving problems; publishing progress reports; recommending actions
Maintain user confidence and protect operations by keeping information confidential
Prepare technical reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends
Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
Interpret, evaluate and interrelate research data and develop integrated business analyses and projections for incorporation into strategic decision-making
Understand and communicate the financial and operational impact of any changes
Suggest changes to senior management using analytics to support your recommendations.
Actively participate in the implementation of approved changes
Qualifications
Bachelors and five plus (5+) years or more related experience.
Experience with assessment of user environments and their requirements, and identification of development constraints.
Experienced implementing and integrating Agile and DevOps methodology in an enterprise IT environment
Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle database development, custom .NET/Java applications, and Open Source software.
Proven ability to understand a customer's needs.
Critical thinker and problem-solving skills

Desired Qualifications
Experience working in commercial and local governments business settings.
ITIL v3 or v4 Foundation Certification.
Familiarity with ServiceNow.
