Job Description



The Applications Systems Analyst reports directly to the Applications Service Delivery Manager (SDM). General job duties include overseeing troubleshooting software and hardware issues and documenting the results. Involved in the implementation of application installations and upgrades. Applications systems analysts create and maintain a knowledge management system of workflows, processes, and procedures. Work closely with customers particularly around change management. Applications systems analysts collaborate with other client and SAIC teams to address application issues. Applications systems analysts create and execute graphical user interfaces, including print outputs and screen layouts. They may conduct training workshops for internal personnel on topics like systems operations or technical components of an application.

Primary Responsibilities:

Excellent technical skills are the most important asset for an applications systems analyst, as they are responsible for developing and executing applications that support an organization's business needs. Relevant technical knowledge and skills may include SQL programming language, C#, .NET, HTML, software development lifecycle processes, agile methodologies, ITIL, automated testing, and database schema designs. Applications systems analysts should have strong analytical abilities in order to evaluate an organization's technological and strategic needs and assist in the designed solutions to meet them. They should also have strong communication skills to collaborate with management, team members, vendors, and most importantly our customers. Applications systems analysts will also need strong communication skills in order to create and present reports as needed.



Candidate will need a bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems, or a business field to work as an applications systems analyst. Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Systems Analyst. Relevant work experience in system applications quality assurance will be beneficial.

Desired Qualifications


Familiarity with any or all of the following is a plus: Accela software, CGI Advantage Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Laserfiche Enterprise Content Management (ECM), Oracle Utilities Work and Asset Management (WAM) system.
