JOB DESCRIPTION: SAIC seek a Information Technology (IT) Specialist to provide IT support to include monitoring IT systems, coordinating IT issues, training new personnel on Customer IT systems, and tracking the need for new automated tools. Tasks include:
Provide continuity and oversight support all personnel related to initiating and maintain access to all IT Systems
Coordinate with training for personnel on existing data systems, and/or the coordination for training on impending systems as authorized.
Attend Customer IT meetings and provide feedback to appropriate channels.
Submit, Track, and resolve access to IT systems and operational issues.
Identify and evaluate requirements for new tools and systems
Maintain Content on the internal web sites.
Ensure continuous operations of IT systems through collaborative efforts with appropriate components
Initiate quarterly tests of the alert communications system.
Coordinate repair, replacement, and resolution of infrastructure and IT issues throughout primary and alternative facilities with appropriate departments and facilities personnel.
Relocate to alternate facilities to maintain access rosters, facility briefings, and execution o facility requirements.
Address problems of systems integration, compatibility, and multiple platforms
Ensure that all information systems are functional and secure
Recommend improvements to existing IT systems
TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors and three (3) to ten (10) years or more experience
Active TS/SCI with polygraph
Experience with operational support and maintenance to IT systems, situational awareness of IT-related issues, and resolution of IT systems issues.
Knowledge of computer networks, applications, databases (DBs), and the infrastructure to address compute system issues, tracking, and resolutions.
Demonstrated teamwork skills at all levels of Government, industry, and academia.
Demonstrated ability to facilitate diverse group to arrive at a consensus on IT infrastructure issues.
Demonstrated ability to perform ad hoc tasks and adjust as tasks are re-prioritized in the execution mission essential functions
