SAIC is seeking an Information Assurance (IA) Systems Engineer Technical Advisor (SETA) for our GED Ground Advanced Concepts Group Program office to fill a critical position on the LANDMARK AOS program. LANDMARK AOS is a large SETA contract responsible for the complete end-to-end life cycle of the customer's Ground Enterprise. 


In this role, you will provide support to facilitate the development of capabilities cooperatively with development contractors and mission partners to optimize mission success. You will actively perform IA analysis to ensure programs successfully develop and deliver core services in all phases of the acquisition life cycle. Functions will include providing day-to-day collaboration with development contractors, other Government program office personnel and Government Customers on systems engineering and IA functions.

 

 Key functions include:

  • Interface directly with development Prime Contractors in the role of Information Assurance, monitoring of software development and integration activities and ensuring alignment with Government requirements and objectives
  • Retain cognizance of wide variety of mission projects including, technical baseline, project schedules, dependencies and risks
  • Advise Senior and Mid-Level managers on technical decisions to include investment strategies, , risk assessment of project execution 
  • Provide technical and cost assessment of vendor proposals, review technical reports, design artifacts and program plans
  • Maintain operational security posture for the program; develop and execute information security plans and policies  
  • Develop IT architecture deliverables, specific to information security countermeasure implementations, for operational systems and systems under development
  • Evaluate proposed information security architectures and designs, provide input to ensure designs meet required security compliance objectives
  • Install, configure, and use various information system inspection tools to audit systems and analyze potential vulnerabilities; conduct weekly auditing requirements, analyze results, identify mitigation approaches
  • Review requests for software installation and conduct technical risk assessment on implementation of the software
  • Work closely with system administrators to ensure installation of current patches, AV definitions and other security tools
  • Perform vulnerability/risk assessment analysis to support accreditation and other program protection activities
  • Prepare and review program documentation to include Risk Assessment Reports, Accreditation Packages, and security policy guides
This position provides management, leadership and oversight within a highly diversified team that support Ground Intelligence acquisitions providing cutting-edge capabilities to the intelligence community.

You will work side-by-side with the other LANDMARK AOS staff comprised of world class System Engineers, Acquisition Engineers and Domain Experts to lead the customer in acquiring modern processing applications. This position offers growth opportunities not only within the LANDMARK AOS program, but within SAIC.

Qualifications

  • Must possess an active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph 
  • Must have CISSP certification
  • BS in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Math or equivalent technical degree or related technical discipline
  • 14+ years in support of Intelligence Community's (IC) systems and capability development
  • Strong technical fundamentals of Intelligence Community (IC) systems
  • Direct ISSE experience implementing security solutions
  • Expertise in DCID 6/3 and ICD 503 policies and implementations
  • Demonstrated understanding of mission user needs and operational environments 
  • Strong understanding of overhead collection, processing architecture, and systems
  • Self-starter with ability to execute job based on limited guidance/information
  • Ability to distill complex problems into digestible structures/format

Desired Qualifications

 
  • Working knowledge of the operations and associated scheduling, tasking and/or mission management functions
  • Demonstrable understanding of planning, scheduling and mission management technologies
  • Experience working within or closely with Acquisition Offices; SETA and/or SE&I experience
  • Specific IC Customer experience
