SAIC is seeking a Field Technician IV that will be assigned as task lead for various projects working closely with Software/Electrical Engineers in the design process to include equipment selection/ordering and tracking, feeder drawings for drafting, conducting design reviews, fabrication and assembly initialization and tracking, testing and installation of various assemblies and sub-assemblies. He will support/perform field installation, testing, operation, repair and modifications as required to support successful system testing and documentation.
The Field Technician IV must possess ability to work and coordinate in a team environment to have a successful build following all shop Standard Operating Procedures, SOP’s per ISO 9001/AS 9100/QMS requirements and interface with various customers or government representatives.
The Field Technician IV must also have the ability to work independently outside the shop on site during installs, checkout, testing and operation of systems. Being able to make required adjustments and design corrections, documenting and submitting any changes for document corrections.

AA or AS in Electrical/Electronic background or minimum 5 years’ experience in electrical/electronic field
Experience in the utilization of hand tools and various test equipment.
Knowledge of cable building and use of various crimp tools
Experience in electrical/signal fault detection, isolation, and correction of installed wiring and hardware in support of engineering efforts.
Ability to identify and manage risk.
Strong collaboration skills and desire to work within a team.
Experience in use of various electronic test equipment to include multimeters, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, cable test sets, fiber optic testing.
Ability to read, interpret drawings, schematics and engineering specifications.
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, strong analytical skills, and ability to work independently.
Proficient in CAD software a plus
