SAIC is looking for a well-qualified Security Analyst to join an exciting program in Northern Virginia. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with a willingness to learn.  Job responsibilities include providing comprehensive security guidance as a security professional to both internal and external stakeholders, which include the program office, industry performers and government partners.  As a security analyst for the program office, you will need breadth of exposure across all the security disciplines, with significant depth in at least one (PERSEC, OPSEC, INFOSEC, etc). This position will be responsible for administering all security aspects for assigned programs, including implementing physical, personnel and information security requirements to ensure compliance with NISPOM, IC, DOD, and federal security regulations. 

Qualifications

  • Seven years (minimum) experience demonstrating security within the compartmented DoD, SAP and IC communities; and
  • Must have working knowledge Executive Order 13526, the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), ICDs and/or DoD SAP Security Manuals.
  • Knowledge of security-specific systems, databases, and software, including Security Information management Software (SIMS) , Configuration and Security Tracking System (CASTS),  JPAS, Scattered Castles, and e-QIP.
  • Must be skilled in managing complex situations, a demonstrated ability to plan, organize, work, and meet deadlines.
  • Efficient in the use of Microsoft Office, Visio, Adobe, Adobe Live Cycle, and standard computer applications.


Education / Experience:

Bachelors and ten (10) years’ relative experience [OR] Masters and eight (8) years’ relative experience (OR) PhD and two (2) years’ relative experience. Additional experience can be considered in lieu of a degree.

Desired Qualifications

 
  • Bachelor’s degree desired, or Professional security certifications or applicable coursework beyond the bachelor’s degree level (i.e. SPSC, CISSP, etc.)
  • The Security Professional Education Development (SPēD) Certification Program
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Self-starter with initiative and ability to work independently and in a team environment.
