SAIC is seeking an
EA-18G Mission Data Engineer to support the Naval Air Warfare Center - Weapons
Division (NAWC-WD) Airborne Electronic Attack (AEA) Jammer Technique
Optimization (JATO) Group located in Point Mugu, CA. The team member will
function as an integral part of a group of government, military, and contractor
personnel that provides technical data packages and operational and training
jamming employment recommendations to EA-18G aircrew.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Applies engineering
rules of thumb and other optimizing methods to develop jammer techniques for
various radar and communications threat types. Researches threat orders of
battle using multi-source intelligence reporting. Manipulates structured
databases to document and deliver technical data packages to EA-18G squadrons
for mission planning and employment and to JATO engineers for testing.
Contributes technical data to MS Word products for EA-18G squadrons.
- PROBLEM COMPLEXITY:
Provides technical solutions to a wide range of scenarios where analysis
of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Solutions are imaginative,
thorough, practicable and consistent with organization objectives.
- FREEDOM TO
ACT: Receives assignments in the form of product priorities set by the
JATO group. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques
for developing solutions. Work is reviewed by engineers and system
analysts to verify technical accuracy and customer applicability.
- IMPACT: Contributes to
completion of specific projects. Erroneous decisions or recommendations would
typically result in a delay of military readiness.
- LIAISON: Frequent
inter-organizational contacts. Collaborates with engineers to provide solutions
to complex and unique scenarios.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree plus 3
years EA-6B or EA-18G Electronic Countermeasures Officer (ECMO) or Electronic
Warfare Officer (EWO).Alternative experience:
3 years Intelligence Specialist (IS) or Cryptologic Technician Technical (CTT)
in EA-6B or EA-18G squadron OR 2 years JATO Engineer Experience planning with
ALQ-99 Tactical Jamming System
- Highly experienced with
MS Word, Excel, Access and Outlook
- Experience with MS SQL
Server Management, Combined Emitter Database (CED), Wrangler, Modernized
Integrated Database (MIDB) desired
- Technical aptitude and
willingness to learn new technologies
- Excellent organization,
teamwork, interpersonal and communication skills.
