SAIC is seeking a Business Development Director with extensive DOE experience. Candidate will be responsible for the planning, coordination, and implementation of activities necessary to drive growth and expand SAIC’s DOE account portfolio. He/She must possess domain knowledge and understanding of DOE and NNSA mission requirements both at Headquarters and throughout the complex including technical challenges needing sustainable solutions. Specific duties include, but are not limited to: learning, sharing, and leveraging business intelligence throughout the DOE complex, customer engagement including pre-solicitation industry conferences; development of RFI responses and white papers to shape opportunities; industry engagement for teaming in support of win strategies; and driving qualified mission support information technology and professional services opportunities from gate reviews through proposal development.
Candidate will assist the Director of the DOE Account in planning and prioritization of the pipeline and growth strategy utilizing the resources of the corporation and all market segments to achieve ambitious growth targets. Key responsibilities are leading multiple business development and capture and B&P activities for the DOE account portfolio, consistently working across market segments and internal corporate resources to ensure a continuous stream of new profitable business for the company.
Candidate must be able to:
• articulate the sales objective of the client to proposal and technical teams;
• convey content confidently to senior clients and SAIC executives; and
• work with business development and operations teams to identify and qualify new opportunities; actively develop a viable pipeline and positively influence the successful execution of business goals.
-15+ years of experience with DOE HQ or labs, complex system strategy and/or business development
-Experience with large program management or large program capture management within the past 5 years
Demonstrated ability and reputation winning complex government programs in some or all of the following
• System integration
• Technology services
• Cloud migration
• Software as a service
• Cloud services
• Technology / program support
-Client and personnel management
-Management and relationship building at the C-level either in civilian or government space
• Federal government – DOE or other civilian
• Public sector – other
US CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED
TS/DOE Active Q Clearance Preferred
