SAIC is seeking a Test and Evaluation (T&E) Lead in Picatinny Arsenal NJ.


The Test and Evaluation (T&E) Lead will support direct fire armament systems and the mission of JPEO Armaments and Ammunition as the Single Manager for Conventional Ammunition.  The T&E Lead is critical as the office prepares Regulatory and Statutory documentations in support of the acquisition milestones. 

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Providing input for the performance specification to support the request for contract proposal. 
  • Preparing the test plan, as the Program Manager is required to develop a robust, rigorous, and efficient test program that will be conducted in support of engineering, evaluations, and qualification throughout the program life cycle. 
  • Working with the test and evaluation communities to negotiate program test requirement; coordinating test schedules with test agencies as well as staffing test and evaluation documentations to the proper organizations and agencies.
  • Preparing test and evaluation updates and brief management, contractors, and senior leaders as required. 
  • Participate in weekly meetings, program reviews and attend meetings at USG, contractor, and subcontractor facilities (travel appx 25% of time).

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

Bachelors and five (5) years or more experience; Masters and three (3) years or more experience.

Knowledge of ammunition Test and Evaluation (T&E) as it relates to the different phases of the Acquisition Life Cycle, including Developmental T&E, Operational T&E, Live Fire T&E, First Article Acceptance Testing, and Lot Acceptance Testing.

Experience working with Army and OSD Test Organizations including DOT&E, DUSA-TE and ATEC, and shall understand the roles and responsibilities of those organizations.

Experience planning and executing tests, writing TEMPS and participating in TRRs and T&E WIPTs.

Experience to support planning and execution of test activities for the ammunition Large Caliber portfolio. 

·    THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE TRAVEL 25% of the time to testing / manufacturing sites throughout the United States, which will be arranged by SAIC.


     Clearance Requirement: 

Must currently have or be able to obtain a SECRET Security Clearance.Can begin working with an interim clearance. 

Desired Qualifications

 

Possible retired Officer/Warrant Officer or Senior NCO with ammunition background.
