In preparation for the eventual award of multiple contract opportunities by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), SAIC is seeking an experienced Senior Program Manager/Director. The PM/Task Manager candidate will maintain a close relationship with the Government and staff determining both technical and business goals and detailed plans to accomplish these goals in consultation with SAIC leadership.
The SAIC Team has a long, successful record of support to the FAA, applying expertise and innovation to solve complex and dynamic problems while maintaining the US worldwide lead in aviation safety. The SAIC Team is seeking a diverse range of skillsets; management, business management, financial and budget analysis support, technical expertise in the areas of engineering navigation systems, NAS operations, Air Traffic, Management Information systems (MIS) and areas related to technical of Navigation support.
The successful candidate will be responsible for successful delivery of a program to a customer; or manage performance of a task or project as part of a larger program under direction of another PM. Manage and integrate activities in accordance with contract requirements and ensure technical, schedule, cost, and financial performance. Define or contribute to the program baseline then execute the program to comply with baseline requirements. Manage risk, customer relationships, and program staffing. Ensure compliance with quality standards and escalate challenges to SAIC leadership. Support business development and program staff management. (It should be understood that this is not intended to be a detailed nor comprehensive description of any individual employee's job content. Managers set the specific duties and responsibilities for each employee). Organizes, directs, and coordinates planning and execution of all program/technical support activities. Shall have demonstrated information technology expertise and communications skills to be able interface with all levels of management. Simultaneously plans and manages the transition of several highly technical projects.
Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, an Information Technology field or other related scientific or technical discipline; and/or Bachelor’s degree in related disciplines, or Master’s in Business Administration or Finance is also acceptable.
Sixteen (12) years or more of recent and relevant program management experience for a defined delivery program, comparable in scope, size, and complexity within systems engineering, network, or related IT technology disciplines, including ten (10) years or more as a supervisor/manager (100 or more personnel). Experience includes program standards, leadership, and coordination experience, C+/C++/C# development implementation management in practice.
Ten (10) years of more of specialized, relevant experience in technical/operations discipline within aviation or aerospace community (in civil or military disciplines)
Experience managing varied contract types, including FFP, T&M, and cost reimbursable
Possess superior communication (written, oral, and listening) skills, excellent organization skills, strong interpersonal skills and be customer focused and detail oriented
