The Electrical Engineer Position will support the development, hardware integration, testing, and technical documentation of components and interfaces unmanned maritime systems and payloads. This position will be in support of a program located at Point Loma, CA. The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to analyze high-level problem statements and develop conceptual solutions for consideration during team discussions; develop detailed, viable, engineering solutions from conceptual designs; generate technical documentation packages, including fabrication drawings, analysis packages, and technical briefs; interface with vendors to identify Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) components; integrate components or subsystems into system assemblies; conduct component-level lab tests and system level operational at-sea tests; generate test plans and document test results; and thrive in a dynamic, team environment.
Bachelors degree and five (5) years or more experience; years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
Must have an active Secret security clearance.
2 years of experience supporting the development of maritime systems, unmanned systems, or electric vehicle systems
At least 2 years of experience with embedded systems, digital signal processors, RF systems, FPGAs, or microcontrollers
At least 2 years of experience with the design and/or implementation of RF, acoustic, or optical communications systems
Experience with the design and development of analog circuits.
Proficiency with development tools such as MATLAB, SIMULINK, Xilinx and Altera
Proficiency with computer languages such as C, C++, and JAVA and Python
Experience with brushless electric motors and drives system as used in modern electric vehicles.
Experience with lithium batteries and battery management technology
Possesses effective written and oral communication skills
