SAIC is seeking qualified computer programmers to join our team. In preparation for the eventual award of multiple contract opportunities by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), SAIC is accepting resumes to fill programming positions (multiple levels of experience) in both our Washington DC, and the William J Hughes Technical Center (Atlantic City, NJ) locations.  

The SAIC Team has a long, successful record of support to the FAA, applying expertise and innovation to solve complex and dynamic problems while maintaining the US worldwide lead in aviation safety. The SAIC Team is seeking a diverse range of skillsets; management, business management, financial and budget analysis support, technical expertise in the areas of engineering navigation systems, NAS operations, Air Traffic, Management Information systems (MIS) and other technical areas related to Navigation support.

Successful candidates will provides experience in performing computer systems analysis and programming in broad-based business oriented (non-tactical Automatic Data Processing (ADP) projects including system level analysis, design, development, and implementation. Possess experience in C, C++, Java, html, SOA and other object-oriented methodologies. In some cases, computer programmers may be required to possess knowledge of legacy languages (e.g., JOVIAL, ALGOL, FORTRAN, BAL, etc.)

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Physics, or related discipline and five (5) years or more experience; Masters and three (3) years or more experience; PhD and 0 years related experience. Nine (9) plus years of experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Knowledge of software requirements, development (design, code, and unit test) analysis, and operational testing for highly complex, real-time, safety critical software systems for aviation and navigation systems.
  • Knowledge using C, C++, object-oriented development in UNIX-based workstation or PC environment.

Desired Qualifications

 
  • Knowledge of DESIREE and/or APPIAN framework
  • FAA experience is a plus
