SAIC is seeking a Drafter/CAD Operator for the Engineering,
Development, Integration, and Sustainment (EDIS) program. This position
is to support the Space and Missile Systems Center Advanced Systems &
Development Directorate (SMC/ AD) to develop, deploy, modernize, and expand the
EDIS program and its customers. The position is located in Albuquerque,
- Candidate will create and modify detailed models and drawings
Ideal if candidate has PTC Windchill and/or SolidWorks Product Data Management
(PDM) and/or schematic experience.
- Candidate will support a
team creating/updating Technical Data Packages; being familiar with ASME
standards, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing, Technical Data Packages, and
military drawing standards desired.
- Candidate will work closely
with engineers, senior technicians, and customer to capture design and to
document EDIS program and Task Order equipment and layout requirements.
- Candidate will assign parts,
subassemblies and/or assemblies to drafters and work independently as well as
in a collective team effort to effect changes to design and/or documentation.
Must be detail oriented and able to communicate complex ideas in a production
- Under minimal supervision,
performs a variety of moderate and complex tasks and uses tools to include
calipers, gage tools, tape measures and other mechanical devices to aid in
design development and verification / validation of first article pieces.
- Candidate should possess
hands-on mechanical / electromechanical knowledge and aptitude with a good
understanding of currently accepted manufacturing processes and ISO procedures.
- Must possess an active Secret level clearance
- Bachelor’s Degree or Associates Degree and 3+
years in related field or High School Diploma and 5+ years’ experience in lieu
- AutoCAD and knowledge of current SIPH requirements
- Candidate should possess hands-on
mechanical/electromechanical knowledge and aptitude with a good understanding
of currently accepted manufacturing processes and ISO procedures.
- This person would be able to quickly complete
tasking independently and as a team member, with detailed or general
- Ability to provide high level summary of results
and draw conclusions based on interpretation of data
- Top Secret level clearance with SCI eligibility
- Good understanding of discipline process; information
and data management
- Experience with DoD process and procedures
- Experience with Agile development teams
