Description

The Compensation Consultant will participate in the design and administration of compensation policies, procedures, practices, and programs. Generally, each Consultant will align with one or more business units or functional areas to become the compensation expert for that business/functional area. 

Duties will include but not be limited to:

• Partner with various stakeholders such as HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, HRIS, Payroll, Legal and others to bring best in class compensation solutions regarding matters such as: developing pay and retention strategies that align with the business strategy and market, ensuring pay equity (both externally and internally) and compliance with FLSA, partnering with HR Business Partners to execute the annual merit/bonus review process for the business, periodic training of other HR team members as needed
• Partner with various stakeholder to design and implement enhancements to compensation structures, systems, procedures, policies and processes as needed
• Provide analytical support, which requires strong excel skills to be used in manipulating and analyzing large data sets in areas of broad-based compensation, executive compensation, equity and total rewards
• Analyze compensation salary and planning surveys and performing market pricing as needed
• Develop strong knowledge and understanding of local, state, and federal laws regulating compensation practices especially those regulations specific to government contractors; support audit activities as needed.
• Act as administrator in maintaining the systems that support compensation best practices such as market pricing and salary structure maintenance, Market Pay updates (survey repository and analysis tool); HRIS system updates, year-end compensation merit and bonus planning
• Provide support with integration activities during periods of M&A as needed

Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelors and 4-5 years or more of related experience; Masters and 3-4 years or more of related experience
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Strong verbal and written communications skills
• Ability to discuss technical issues with line management and HR
• Strong knowledge of Excel, Word and Powerpoint
• Knowledge of Fair Labor Standards Act, and other related Federal and State regulations
