DescriptionJOB DESCRIPTION: Edits, proofreads and provides writing support, the conceptualization, layout and preparation of high quality graphics, text, and templates, and the design, preparation, and creation of new media projects on non-technical and/or technical documents or sections of documents prepared by writers such as manuals, procedures and specifications. Responsibilities include checking drafts for format, clarity and overall cohesiveness. Ensuring documents meet editorial and government specifications and adhering to standards for quality, graphics, coverage, format and style. Responsibilities include: producing and/or revising technical articles, proposals, publications, books, manuals, reports, and marketing materials and determining project requirements and presenting drafts of finished product to the user ensuring high quality of output. . Reviews rough drafts and makes suggestions. In addition, individuals in this family design and develop multimedia applications, systems and products involving computer graphics and interactive computing using a variety of new media software applications, techniques and tools. Frequent use and application of industry practices, techniques, and standards. General application of concepts and principles. Receives assignments in the form of objectives and establishes goals to meet outlined objectives. PROBLEM COMPLEXITY: Participates in the development of solutions to a variety of problems moderate in scope and complexity. Often refers to policies, procedures and practices for guidance. FREEDOM TO ACT: Works under general direction on routine work. May receive detailed instructions on new projects or assignments. Follows established procedures. Work is reviewed for soundness of judgment, overall adequacy and accuracy. IMPACT: Contributes to the completion of organizational projects and goals. Errors in judgment or failure to achieve results would normally require a moderate expenditure of resources to correct. LIASON: Frequent internal company and external contacts. Represents organization on specific projects.
QualificationsTYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors and three (3) years or more of related experience; Masters and one year of related experience.
